The hotel is located in the village of Buahan, only about 20 minutes drive from the center of Ubud, after about 90 min you can reach the airport. Opened in 2005, the club resort with 38 guest rooms is spread over 8 levels. It was designed in modern Bali style with columns that seem to defy gravity and alang-alang thatched roofs, it stretches down to the Ayung River. This unusual architectural design, with villas perched on steep terraces, a reflection of the rice paddies across the gorge, was initially considered unbuildable. The hotel offers a reception area, a hotel safe, and a restaurant. Room and laundry services are offered (both for a fee). Parking is available for guests’ cars. All guest rooms feature handmade fabrics made of batik cotton and bathrooms with hand-molded bathtubs. Precious woods have been used throughout the hotel, there are merbau floors in the interiors, Bankirai wood has been used outside, also for the furniture carved according to Balinese tradition. All guest rooms have a double bed, a safe, a satellite TV, a minibar, individually regulated air conditioning and a direct dial telephone. There are also terraces. The wellness center offers a variety of massage and spa treatments, and the hotel offers regular yoga and meditation classes. There is also an outdoor pool and a solarium. Guests can enjoy mountain biking for a fee.
